Sharing Our Save the Dates

Hey, what’s up, hello! It took me forever to decide on a design, but I am finally sharing our save the dates! I wanted something that would reflect our event. Our aesthetic is palm beach chic and I really wanted them to emulate that. So many of the “tropical” invites I would find out there were too literally a beach, and I loved the palm trees on this one! I ended up ordering through Basic Invite, and overall it was a great experience! I love that I could customize the color of the palm trees, fonts, and add raised gold foil.

I’m sure you’ve noticed our section at the bottom about no children. We wanted to find a way to say that we love kids but this is an all adult party! Drew and I both felt the vibe at adult only weddings is more our style, plus our venue only holds 200 max and if we invited kids it would take up a large part of that. I was really nervous about putting anything on the save the dates about this, but I thought it was better to give people 6 months notice that kids aren’t invited instead of springing it on them the month before in our formal invitation.

For the other side of our save the dates I knew I wanted a photo of Drew and I. I chose this one because I really wanted to incorporate dad’s car in it like I talked about from our engagement photos post. I also wanted to be in a springy outfit since our wedding is in the spring!

Overall, I was super pleased with Basic Invite! I ordered samples first, and then made some changes before I ordered. They arrived way before they said they would which was so nice since I sent them out late! Some of them had a little bit of a rough edge from the cutting of the shape but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t fix. A few of the cards had very thick lettering in the gold foil parts and they were hard to read, so I would advise ordering a few extra in case this happens. They also offer for someone to check them completely and make sure everything is perfect for an extra $20, but I didn’t do this because I was afraid they would take longer.

Thanks for reading!
