Get Ready With Me - Holiday Glam Makeup

YOU GUYS. I am so excited to be sharing my first makeup video with you! I am not a makeup guru by any means–my best friend, Somer mostly tries everything and then I buy what she tells me to, but I thought I would share what I know. I thought I kept things pretty simple until I starting listing all the makeup products, and then I was again reminded that I am far from a “low maintenance” human. So, here we go! I’m so happy you’re here to get ready with me, and let me know your thoughts about my Holiday Glam makeup tutorial. All products will be listed and linked further in this post.

Breaking It Down

Lately I’ve been using the Bliss Glow and Hydrate Day Serum and I really like it. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in my skin overall but I do like how it feels when I put it on, especially under makeup. I’ve also been trying out the night version

Next I put on the Tula Face Filter Blurring and Moisturizing Primer. I especially love this stuff in the summer or when I have a spray tan. I’m so pale that sometimes the tint is a bit strong, but I love how it blurs my complexion and looks good even without makeup on top.

For the past few months I’ve been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation. I love the way it feels on my skin. It’s not too heavy and adds a subtle glow. I blended it with one of these foundation brushes–it allows me to blend so much better. This one works great and sometimes you can even find them at TJMaxx.

Next up is concealer. My all-time fav is Tarte Shape Tape. I always use the lightest color they make, and blend it with my KKW brush. I use the sponge end for concealer. Make sure you get it wet first! To set my concealer and make it stay, I use the Laura Mercier Undereye Brightening Powder. I love the KKW concealer brush because I can use the other end for this part.

My favorite false lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies. It’s taken me a long time to be able to successfully put on lashes. I still don’t have it down 100%, but I’ve learned some little tricks. If you use tweezers it goes much smoother (I like the angled ones best), and always try to line up the lashes in the middle of your lash line. Keeping your eye open instead of closed allows you to see where you’re putting it, and then use the tweezers to squeeze the lashes together with your real ones.

My all-time favorite eye shadow is this Glazen Eye Gloss by Butter London. My makeup artist for my wedding actually introduced me to this stuff a couple years ago. In this video, I’m using the shade “Frost” but I also use “Moonshine” a lot and blend them. It really is as beautiful and sparkly in person as it is on screen! I used the Morphe Fall Into Frost Palette afterwords to blend and add some dimension.

My number one fav product is the It Cosmetics Airbrush Perfecting Powder. I’m using the shade Medium here. It really smoothes your skin and makes your face look glowing and airbrushed. A lot of times I only wear this when I don’t feel like putting on foundation.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner is my go-to for my top lids. I start out on the edge of each eye (in hopes to make them even) and then go back and attach the tail to the rest of my eyelid.

A mascara I’m loving right now is Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara. This is the holiday special edition. My brows are also definitely sisters, not twins. I use the Anastasia Brow Wiz, and just lightly follow my shape and fill them in.

My bronzer is Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Lite. I used to use the original Hoola Bronzer and liked it but it was a little strong for my skin tone.

Highlighter is Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop and blush is Becca Mineral Blush in Hyacinth. Warning–this blush is VERY pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way. I usually go back in with my brush I used for my face powder and blend it in more.

Next I use my Tula Glow and Get It Cooling Eye Balm. This is one of my favorite products of all time. It feels SO good and makes you look awake and fresh. I put it on under makeup sometimes, and throughout the day to freshen up.
