Blog Anniversary + Blue Ruffles

Blog Anniversary + Blue Ruffles

I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for four years already! Yes, FOUR. I’m so thankful for you guys that follow along and read my posts–you have no idea how important you are to me. There are so many blogs out there these days and I feel honored that I get to share my fashions and life with you!

Let’s Get Real

Blogging can be super competitive. Not so much girls against girls at all–because the blogging community has been nothing but welcoming–but mostly just the everyday comparison of yourself to others on Instagram. We have to remember that we are making things look a certain way, but that life is not always perfect, and that’s okay. Blogging brings me so much joy and gives me a creative outlet to express myself, and I am so thrilled that I get to do this. I haven’t been able to devote myself to my blog as much as I’ve wanted in the past, but now I have a plan and am definitely kicking it up a notch. This is my passion and I’m committed to making it happen.

It can definitely be scary to get personal on the internet, because people always have opinions. When you put yourself out there you are somewhat accepting that people will judge you for what you say or do. I’m saying this because I’ve decided from now on to get more personal with you guys. Please don’t laugh at me if I do a video chat haha, (okay you can laugh, just not to my face.) We have to remember to not take ourselves too seriously, and I think I forgot that, and that’s what’s been keeping me from getting too personal. Like I said, life is not perfect, and I’m excited and nervous to share more of my life with you guys.

Thanks again for following along, it means more than you know.

Love you, love you, love you always.

About the Outfit

This little tie up top is so fun! It was kind of difficult to deal with the *underboob* situation, but for how inexpensive it is I can’t complain. The blue ruffle skirt is even dreamier in person if you can imagine. I’ve been eyeing it for weeks sinceĀ I saw it in the J.Crew catalog. It also has POCKETS. Need I say more? (Keep checking the site for more sizes if they’re out of yours, they usually restock pretty frequently.) My shoes are a dupe of a more expensive pair, which I also own in another color and love, and they are my fav style of heels. I’m not lying when I say they are pretty comfy. Aren’t these beaded earrings fun?! I love the color. They are also easy to convert to clip ons if you need to, like me. Now get out there and shop!

Thank you so so much, Kayla! I adore your posts, they pretty much make me cry each time I read them. My dad is sick, and I’ve been wanting to write about it a little bit but have been scared to, but your posts inspire me! Thanks so much! xx
