Pucker up! We’re talking lipstick here people! Lipgloss and lipstick have become my absolute favorite parts of makeup–mostly because you can never have too many, or at least that’s what I tell myself. I’ve been experimenting a lot lately, especially with shades in the pink family, and so I thought I would share my best picks with you.
MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL CREAMY MATTE IN ELECTRIC PINK– This lip color is exactly what it claims to be–electric pink! It’s the perfect mix of a mostly pinkish shade with a slight iridescent feel, but it is very pigmented which I love. I don’t normally wear this on it’s own, I pair it with the next color coming up, just as a blogger I follow, Caitlin over at southerncurlsandpearls.com!
BAREMINERALS MARVELOUS MOXIE LIPGLOSS IN LIFE OF THE PARTY– This gloss is amazing. I love the pigmentation. It seems like most pink lip glosses are too sheer and barely give off any color, but this one is different. I wear it on it’s own, or for a bolder look I use it over my Electric Pink Maybelline. BOBBI BROWN LIP COLOR IN NEON PINK– So, its obvious that I’m in love with all of these colors, otherwise I wouldn’t be sharing them with you! But, if there is just ONE lipstick you have to get, this Bobbi Brown shade is it! I’ve had this color stocked in my makeup bag for well over two years now, and it is my absolute go to. Tons of my girlfriends have tried it as well, and it goes great with different skin tones. I’m pretty fair, but its beautiful on darker skin as well. I promise you won’t regret this purchase!
YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE LIP COLOR IN #22, PINK CELEBRATION– I’ll be honest, I bought this because I wanted to get that special feeling of having some YSL swag in my makeup bag, and I ended up loving it! The color is a very icy, purple-pink and its a color I don’t wear all the time, but I think it will be great for winter. If I bought it again I would probably go a shade darker, because it washes me out a little, but when I get a spray tan it looks great!
STILA STAY ALL DAY LIQUID LIPSTICK IN HOT PINK– This color is similar to the Bobbi Brown Neon Pink that I mentioned above. I love that this lip color stays on all day and night, and doesn’t come off at all on anything once applied. My only suggestion would be to keep a chapstick handy when wearing this, because if you’re like me, some matte products crack when my lips are dry.
SEPHORA COLORFUL GLOSS BALM IN MOON AND BACK– This was one of those I’m checking out at Sephora and oh that looks pretty I’ll take it impulse buys. I don’t regret it because it was a good choice! This is a year round favorite for me. It can go over any color, but is also pigmented enough to wear on its own. This is the perfect light pink shade, and it isn’t sticky or thick.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS LIP GLOSS IN DUSTY LILAC– Helllllo lover! I could go on and on and on about this lipgloss for days. I’ve recently gotten another fall shade that I’ll tell you about in my Red Edition of Lipstick Favs that I love just as much. This color is perfect for this time of year, it’s a darker pink that stands out just enough without being overkill. I love how long this stays on and how it makes my lips feel while wearing it. If there’s one lip gloss to get from this review, its this one! I can’t wait to try more colors.
