High Heels & Happy Hartz is celebrating 3 years! I wore this tulle skirt for my first anniversary blog post, so it seemed like the perfect fit for this anniversary. Also, the Eiffel Tower in the background isn’t a bad backdrop! Thank you SO SO much to everyone who takes time to read what I post! It means so much to me. What better way to celebrate my third year with High Heels & Happy Hartz than in Paris?! As most of you probably know, my brother’s wife is a Delta flight attendant. This post is about to prove that she is not only the greatest sis-in-law ever, but that we know how to have a damn good time in just 24 hours. Jasey called me on a Tuesday and asked me if I wanted to go to Paris with her on Wednesday morning. Miraculously, my parents said yes–and yes, at 25 years old I still have to ask my mommy and daddy to leave the country, don’t judge me–so, off we went! A buddy pass, several hundred prayers, and a gifted first class ticket later (thanks to Jase’s mom) we were on our way to the magical city of Paris.
I’ve wanted to go to Paris my entire life. After seeing the movie Sabrina, I was pretty much sold. It turned out to be so much more than I ever even imagined it could be. We checked in to our hotel, I packed several outfit changes, and we headed for the market to stock up for our picnic at the Eiffel Tower.
Okay, so I obviously knew the Eiffel Tower was huge. In every photo I’d seen it definitely looked massive. But you guys, IT IS HUGE! We popped a bottle of French champagne and took tons of pictures while we were there, surrounded by tourists and locals alike–all lounging on blankets and in the grass, just taking in the scenery. You feel like you’re in a piece of history when in Paris, and everything just seems more low key and go with the flow. You can tell that everyone is just happy to be where they are. Que sera sera, whatever will be, will be.
