HH&HH Travels: Nashville Edition

Screen Shot 2016-07-11 at 3.52.54 PMI’m sure you’re all aware, but Nashville is pretty darn cool. My boyfriend and I went this past weekend to visit my best friend, Somer and her boyfriend. It doesn’t take much for us to have a good time, but from the karaoke bar to the Sprinkles cupcake, it was one hell of a weekend! I’ve put together a little montage of what we did, and some great places to visit!

Our first stop was M.L. Rose. This restaurant was AH-MAZING for burgers and beer. They had a huge list of craft beers (which normally aren’t my jam) but I found a strawberry beer that I couldn’t get enough of. We all got a different burger and they were all super different and great.

Our next stop was a little hole in the wall…Christmas themed trailer. Before you question my taste, I’ll start by saying if you don’t enjoy Elton John karaoke and a $2 PBR, you may not be into this place. Named Santa’s Pub, this gem felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, but was a pretty happening spot inside. Somer and I sang our usual, Bennie & the Jets. Not to brag, but it was a crowd fav! (mark that one off the bucket list!)

The next bar we went to, Rebar, is located in the Midtown area of Nashville. I’ve been here once before, and have had a ball both times.

Sunday Funday was my favorite part of the trip. We went to 12 South and walked around and around, trying to fit in like locals! We ate lunch at Bartaco, and it is safe to say its my new favorite restaurant. The decor is coastal and chic, and the food was even better.

Next stop: Draper James. I’ve always wanted to go here, of course because of my girl, Reese. I naturally fell in love with everything inside, as I knew I would, but the outside I loved just as much. We waited as groups of girls posed in front of the famous blue and white striped wall, secretly hoping Reese herself would casually walk in on Sunday to check on the store. She didn’t, but don’t worry, I’ll be back!

Our final destination: Sprinkles Cupcakes! I’ve also wanted to go here for most of my adult life. I got the cupcake sundae, meaning they cut off the top of the cupcake and put ice cream in between. It was magical.
